JSL IP44 Industrial Plugs and Sockets for indoor and outdoor installations, not subject to direct water exposure, such as water jets
INDUSTRIAL PLUGS AND SOCKETS
In the industrial sector, construction, or agriculture, electrical demands far exceed those of a domestic installation. High-power equipment requires robust connections, capable of withstanding high currents and the most adverse environmental conditions, from humidity and splashes to immersion and full exposure to the elements. This is where industrial plugs and sockets come in.
At JSL Material Eléctrico, we offer high-performance connection solutions, designed to ensure operator safety and continuity of power supply, minimizing breakdowns and downtime on-site or on the production line.
The Right Protection for Your Project: IP44 or IP67?
Selecting the correct industrial plug or socket depends fundamentally on the installation environment and the degree of exposure to dust and liquids. JSL organizes its range according to the Ingress Protection (IP) rating, in compliance with standards EN 60309-1, EN 60309-2, EN 60529 and EN 62262:
IP44 Industrial Plugs and Sockets: The recommended solution for environments with moderate humidity and subject to splashes. The IP44 rating guarantees protection against the ingress of solid bodies larger than 1 mm and water splashes from any direction. Frequently used in warehouses, covered workshops, construction sites, and industrial halls, with the advantage of allowing quick and practical connection and disconnection.
IP67 Industrial Plugs and Sockets: Designed for the most demanding scenarios. With total dust-tightness and resistance to temporary water immersion, they are the recommended choice for outdoor work, ports, chemical industries, wash-down areas, and agricultural operations. The threaded ring locking system ensures that the connection does not accidentally come loose and keeps the contacts perfectly sealed.
Standardization, Mechanical Resistance, and Ease of Wiring
The entire JSL industrial switchgear range complies with the IEC 60309 standard, ensuring universal compatibility through the international color code: blue for 230 V single-phase networks and red for 400 V three-phase networks.
Beyond electrical safety, JSL plugs and sockets stand out for their high mechanical resistance to drops and impacts common on-site, and for their ease of wiring with wide terminals and efficient cable gland systems that simplify the electrician’s work and prevent dangerous strain on the internal conductors.
