Information
For circuits related to the intrinsic safety of installations: control and command rooms, hospitals, schools, survival electrical and telecommunications installations. Areas with corrosive characteristics, extreme temperatures, strong impacts. For emergency lighting in tunnels and underground installations.
The vast majority of electrical installations are addressed with general-purpose solutions. But there are contexts where the project specification, the applicable standard, or the environmental conditions demand a higher-level technical response — survival circuits, installations in green areas, extreme humidity environments, or underground networks subject to continuous immersion. For these scenarios, JSL has developed the range of Boxes for Special Installations.
Safety and Survival Circuits — Fireproof E90 Range
For electrical and telecommunications circuits that must remain operational during a fire — control and command rooms, emergency lighting, hospital, school, and tunnel installations — JSL offers E90 fireproof boxes, manufactured from self-extinguishing V0 material, halogen-free, ensuring 90 minutes of electrical continuity under fire conditions. Available in three variants:
- BOXLINE E90 NEXT: New generation of the E90 fireproof range, with a new-design ceramic system and optimized assembly for faster on-site installation.
- Fireproof E90 (classic series): E90 fireproof watertight boxes for intrinsic safety circuits and survival installations, with the traditional ceramic assembly system.
- BOXLINE MARK Fireproof E90: Variant with concentric knockout entries, easy opening without drilling, maintaining all E90 fireproof characteristics.
Installations in Green Areas — Garden Box J100S-EXT
The Garden Box J100S-EXT is an IP66 watertight box specifically developed for installations in gardens and public green spaces. Its design and finish integrate discreetly into outdoor environments, providing full protection against water and dust for lighting installations or irrigation equipment.
Extreme Humidity and Underground Installations — Power Gel and Power Resin
For junctions in extreme humidity environments or underground installations — wells, pumping stations, swimming pools, and wash-down areas — JSL offers two IP68 watertight box systems with fill-material sealing:
- Power Gel: Kit with IP68 watertight box and fast-curing gel, halogen-free and silicone-free. The gel adheres to the conductors and seals the box with a high degree of dielectric protection, even in the presence of water between the cable conductors. Recommended for installations in extreme humidity environments and underground installations.
Power Resin: Kit with IP68 watertight box and fast-curing polyurethane (PU) resin, for total and continuous immersion up to 10 metres depth. Recommended for public lighting, port installations, tunnels, flood areas, and underground networks. Available in a flame-retardant PU resin (FR) version, for projects requiring both total watertightness and fire safety simultaneously.
